Radar & electronic warfare are used by the military for both defensive and offensive purposes. Radar can be used to determine not only the range, but also the angle and velocity of objects, making it useful for detecting aircrafts, ships, spacecrafts, guided missiles, motor vehicles, weather formations, and terrain.
Electronic warfare (EW) systems seek friendly access, while removing the target’s access to the electromagnetic spectrum. EW is utilized from air, land, sea, and space by both manned and unmanned systems. Targets may be human, communications systems, radar, or other enemy assets.
