David Friede, Chief Executive Officer

David FriedeAs Chief Executive responsible for running all facets of the business. David has a proven executive management track record and over
17 years of experience driving sales growth in the aerospace and defense industry. 
In his previous position as Chief Operating Officer responsible for quality systems to ensure compliance with customer requirements and government regulations, optimizing sales force activities and leading business development, David was instrumental in winning the 2014 Boeing Performance Excellence Award.

Under Mr. Friede’s guidance, Resion’s world-class team strives to become the preeminent supply chain solution provider maintaining its dominance as the industry’s largest stocking distributor of military and high reliability, mission-critical components for aerospace and defense.  Resion continues to be the clear leader as the Warfighter’s premier trusted source for quality assured solutions to sustainable sourcing concerns.

Committed to excellence, Mr. Friede has green-lighted new and innovative research and development initiatives, as well as negotiated key OEM agreements to pave the way for growth initiatives.  Resion offers customers a comprehensive program incorporating the latest generation of technologies and anti-counterfeit measures including the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Qualified Suppliers List of Distributors (QSLD) and Qualified Testing Suppliers List (QTSL) programs and AS6081 certification. Mr. Friede will leverage the company’s decades of historical successes and the years of experience to lead a new management team at Resion as Chief Executive Officer.

Scott Peterson, Chief Financial Officer

Scott PetersonScott Peterson is an accomplished business leader who joined Resion in 2017 and oversees all finance, accounting and administrative functions of the company. He brings more than 30 years of experience working with startups, turnarounds and fast-growing businesses in operating, investment, advisory and board-level roles across a number of industries and highly competitive business markets, with particular expertise in restructuring companies in transition, planning and executing turnaround and growth strategies, capital raising and performance management. Prior to joining Resion, Scott spent 15 years pursuing and managing investments in high growth, lower middle market businesses at and for leading private equity firms, including H.I.G. Capital, Palm Beach Capital and Black Dragon Capital. Scott previously served in senior financial and operations roles at DHL, ADP, Miami Air International, Randstad and Proudfoot Consulting.

Scott’s accomplishments include managing P&Ls ranging from $2 million to $550 million, creating more than $400 million in value to private companies, raising over $165 million in capital, managing over 50 mergers and acquisitions, saving or creating more than 4,900 jobs through corporate turnarounds and growth strategies, and providing critical financial leadership and partnering with executive teams to consistently achieve organizational goals. Scott has a strong background in Big 4 public accounting at KPMG, where he began his career in their audit group. He earned his MBA from Nova Southeastern University, BS in Accounting from Providence College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Frank Cowan, Director of Operations

Frank CowanA highly accomplished and decisive leader with a proven track record of implementing effective business strategies, process improvements and innovative solutions, Frank Cowan is using his proficiency transforming production operations and critical programs to enhance performance and achieve organizational objectives as Director of Operations for Resion.

Prior to joining Resion in 2017, Frank was Founder, General Partner and Principal Consultant at Asset Management & Services International in San Antonio, Texas where he was responsible for strategic vision, partnerships formation, and company improvements. For nearly a decade before that, he was in commercial business development for Lockheed Martin Kelly Aviation Center in San Antonio where he established a customer base through the development of relationships in commercial and military engine MRO as well as in adjacent markets of on-wing support, targeting fleet scheduling and material handling. Mr. Cowan also served as a Military Business Development agent for Lockheed Martin IS&G where he created several win strategies for PBA that included the establishment of a public-private partnership.

From 1976-1997, Mr. Cowan served in the United States Air Force, Air Education, and Training Command. He has both military and commercial aircraft experience and has won numerous awards, including the LM Aero Star, winner for Supply Chain operations, NOVA Award Winner for PBA Team and numerous Rising Star awards. He held certifications/certificates in Airframe and Powerplant Management, Maintenance Management, Weight and Balance and is a Green Belt.


Robyn Frank, Director of Quality

Robyn FrankA highly versatile senior executive, Robyn Frank brings her history of leading and achieving continuous business growth and efficiencies in large organizations and her demonstrated ability to obtain results and to create new markets and business opportunities to Resion as the company’s Director of Quality.

Prior to joining Resion in 2017, Ms. Frank served as Managing Partner at Asset Management & Services International where, for three years, she provided business services to aviation customers, including fleet management, leasing support, brokering, business growth targets and strategies, teaming and government proposal support.Utilizing contacts in both the military and commercial marketplace, Ms. Frank identified emerging opportunities, intercompany synergies and portfolio-shaping strategies to grow existing businesses. Ms. Frank was also a Senior VP of Business Development at ASRC Federal and Managing Partner at RF Consulting LLC.

Robyn Frank spent 20 years, from 1991-2011, at Lockheed Martin, where she was Director of Strategic Planning. Additionally, as Director of Enterprise Transformation and Alamo Program Manager at Kelly Aviation Center (KAC), created an LMM baseline assessment and applied the results to enhance the IT infrastructure and integration with subcontractors supporting component repair, kitting, distribution and transportation at the engine depot. She led this improvement utilizing Integrated Product Teams (IPT) for supply chain improvement activities enhancing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to adapt them to a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) environment. During her tenure at Lockheed Martin, Ms. Frank was a member of the Sandia National Laboratories Board of Governance, Director of Strategic Operational Planning and was Director of Enterprise Transformation and Alamo Program Manager at Kelly Aviation, a start-up business entity created to take over the operations of San Antonio Air Logistics Center at Kelly AFB. Ms. Frank also served as a Corporate Environmental Safety and Health Manager for LM.

She received her Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Purchase with a degree in environmental science.
