Counterfeit Mitigation

Resion’s Counterfeit Mitigation Policy is to develop processes to mitigate, detect, control and disposition suspect/counterfeit parts to ensure that suspect/counterfeit parts do not enter the supply chain. Suspect, Fraudulent or Counterfeit parts will be reported to industry sources.

Our counterfeit mitigation program is documented in a policy and includes specific requirements for each of the following:

  • Customer Requirements and Contract Review
  • Verification of Purchased Product (Counterfeit Detection Testing)
  • Material Identification and Traceability
  • Returned Product
  • Personnel Training
  • Purchasing Requirements
  • Supplier Approval and Evaluation
  • Control of Nonconforming Product
  • Reporting
  • Internal Audit

Resion has developed a counterfeit mitigation program modeled after AS6081 - Fraudulent/Counterfeit Electronic Parts: Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation, and Disposition – Distributors. Additionally, Resion works with many government and original equipment manufacturers who require more stringent counterfeit mitigation requirements. The additional requirements have been incorporated into our counterfeit mitigation program to minimize the risk of distributing fraudulent or counterfeit parts.
