Resion LLC Awarded CAAP Distributors Accreditation from PRI (Performance Review Institute)

Ronkonkoma, NY.  June 8, 2020 – The Performance Review Institute (PRI), an SAE International affiliate, announced that Resion LLC is now the second independent distribution company worldwide to earn Counterfeit Avoidance Accreditation Program (CAAP) accreditation, by demonstrating that they have systems in place to identify counterfeit products, and to reduce the risks related to them.

Over the past several months, Resion underwent a rigorous, multi-stage review process that included an onsite audit. During the visit, the PRI CAAP auditor evaluated compliance in PRI CAAP standards spanning several areas including Fraudulent/Counterfeit Electronic Parts: Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation, and Disposition. The criteria was created by the industry itself through the CAAP EEE Parts Task Group, members of which include the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Ball Aerospace, Collins Aerospace, General Electric, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, the Boeing Company, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Rolls-Royce, and United Turbine Technologies. Thus, mitigating the risk of introducing counterfeit parts into the supply chain and minimizing the cost for compliance throughout the aviation, aerospace, and defense industries.

The PRI CAAP standard for Resion was developed, and supervised by Anne Poncheri, Director of Quality. Ms. Poncheri is devoted in the pursuit of mitigating the risk of counterfeit parts, and has spent countless hours developing and implementing Resion’s current quality control procedures. She is also a member of SAE Aerospace G19 Counterfeit Electronic Components Committee whose charter is to address aspects of preventing, detecting, responding to and counteracting the threat of counterfeit electronic components.
